Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and FuelQuest ("we", "us") about using the FuelQuest app and this website (together, "FuelQuest"). By creating an account or using FuelQuest, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use FuelQuest.
1. Who can use FuelQuest
You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they agree to these terms for you. You need a mobile phone number that can receive text messages to sign in. You may have only one account.
2. Your account
You're responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping your phone secure. Pick a handle that doesn't pretend to be someone else, isn't offensive and doesn't use someone else's trademark. We may change or remove a handle that breaks these rules.
3. Playing fair
FuelQuest is a game, and it's only fun if everyone plays by the same rules. You agree not to:
- fake your location, use location-spoofing apps or emulators, or check in at a store you're not actually at;
- use more than one account, or share an account, to gain points or ranks;
- use bots, scripts or modified apps, or access our servers other than through the app;
- exploit bugs instead of reporting them to us;
- harass other players or store staff, or use FuelQuest for anything illegal;
- interfere with FuelQuest's servers or other players' use of it.
We may remove points, badges or ranks gained by breaking these rules, and suspend or close accounts that do.
4. Safety first
Never use FuelQuest while driving. Park before you check in, read alerts or tap anything. Driving mode is designed to be glanced at by a passenger or used when you've stopped. Follow traffic laws and the rules at each store, and never trespass or put yourself or others at risk to check in or earn points.
5. Points, badges and rewards
Points, levels, streaks, badges, avatars, ranks and other in-game items have no cash value, can't be sold or transferred, and aren't your property. We may change how they're earned, rebalance them, or reset a leaderboard to keep the game fair and fun. FuelQuest doesn't sell anything in the app. If we offer prizes or partner rewards in the future, they will come with their own rules, which you'll see before taking part.
6. Reviews, reports and photos you post
You own what you post. By posting a review, report or photo, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce and share it to run and promote FuelQuest, including showing reviews to other players and sending reports to store teams. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups for a limited period.
Only post honest reviews based on a real visit, and only photos you took or have the right to share. Don't post anything that is false, hateful, sexual, violent, harassing or illegal, that shows other people's faces or personal information without permission, or that advertises something. We may remove content that breaks these rules.
7. Stores and store information
FuelQuest is an independent app. It is not made, sponsored or endorsed by Casey's General Stores, Inc., and Casey's is not responsible for FuelQuest. Store details such as addresses, hours, amenities and highway exits come from public sources and other players. They may be out of date or wrong, so check before you rely on them. Reporting a problem in FuelQuest doesn't replace contacting the store or emergency services. If something is dangerous, tell store staff or call 911.
8. Our app and content
FuelQuest, including its name, logo, artwork, avatars and software, belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. Don't copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell it, except where the law allows. Map data on Android is © OpenStreetMap contributors.
9. Changes and availability
We're always changing FuelQuest. We may add or remove features, and we may stop offering FuelQuest at any time. We'll try to give you notice of big changes. If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. If you keep using FuelQuest after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
10. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings (see Delete your account). We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering FuelQuest. Sections 5–8 and 11–13 continue after your account ends.
11. Disclaimers
FuelQuest is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that FuelQuest will be uninterrupted or error-free, that store information is accurate, or that check-ins, points or ranks will never be lost.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of FuelQuest. Our total liability for any claim about FuelQuest is limited to $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
13. Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois and of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you and we agree to those courts' jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, please email us so we can try to sort it out informally.
14. App stores
If you downloaded FuelQuest from Apple's App Store or Google Play, these terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google, and we, not they, are responsible for FuelQuest and its support. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for FuelQuest. If FuelQuest fails to meet any applicable warranty, you can notify Apple, which may refund the purchase price (FuelQuest is free), and Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for any product liability, legal-compliance or intellectual-property claims about FuelQuest. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you're not in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and aren't on a U.S. government list of restricted parties. You must also follow the app store's own terms.
15. General
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about FuelQuest. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later. You can't transfer these terms to anyone else. We may transfer them as part of a merger or sale.
